We would like to thank the office of Legislator Jodi Giglio, The Gardiner Foundation and the Greater Hudson Heritage Network for providing grant funding for the following projects:

Grants and Preservation Efforts
The Miller Place-Mount Sinai Historical Society is honored to have received significant support from the NYSCA/GHHN Conservation Grant Program, which is administered by the Greater Hudson Heritage Network (GHHN). These grants have been instrumental in advancing our preservation and stewardship efforts.
Preservation Supply Grant
Through the Preservation Supply Grant, the Society purchased:
- 3 dehumidifiers
- 2 air circulators
These essential tools help regulate humidity levels in the William Miller House, ensuring better preservation of the museum’s interior and safeguarding its historic integrity.
Site Assessment Grant
The Site Assessment Grant has enabled the Society to engage a Collections Consultant for a professional evaluation. This visit will focus on:
- Identifying key collection issues
- Providing guidance on stewardship
- Prioritizing actionable steps to enhance the care of our collections
This expert consultation is a critical step in ensuring the long-term preservation and care of our valuable artifacts.
